Here lies...

FUNNY EPITAPHS:

Here lies the body of Jonathan Blake; Stepped on the gas instead of the brake

Here lies Lester Moore; Four slugs from a .44; No Les No More

The children of Israel wanted bread, And the Lord sent them manna; Old clerk Wallace wanted a wife, And the devil sent him Anna

I told you I was sick!

Here lays Butch, We planted him raw; He was quick on the trigger, but slow on the draw.

Here lies an atheist. All dressed up and nowhere to go.

And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, - Acts 4:36

There were many leaders in the early church, but few were as humble and influential as Barnabas. Actually, his name was Joseph or Joses, but the apostles gave him the name Barnabas, which means Son of Encouragement. What a way to be remembered! He was such an encourager, the apostles changed his name to suit. He did so much to encouraged.

Barnabas owned land in Cyprus, in which he sold and gave the proceeds to the church in Jerusalem. After the Apostle Paul's conversion, Barnabas took him and introduced him to the apostles. He and Paul undertook several missionary journeys and defended Gentile converts against from the Judaizers. Hey, he was an encourager!

Barnabas was a good man, a good Christian that we would all do well by his example.

How about your life? How will you be remembered? We won't leave much behind when we depart this world, but what will last longer than any material things is your memory. How will you be remembered? An encourager? A strong Christian? A Christian? An atheist?
